On Wednesday, October 1st, from 7-9pm, Hollywood Confidential will honor one of television’s most transformative voices, Mara Brock Akil, with the ICON Award, at a premiere event in recognition of her outstanding career, and in observation of the 25th anniversary of her groundbreaking series Girlfriends. We will also salute projects from her canon of ICONIC shows, including The Game, Being Mary Jane, Love Is, and her critically acclaimed hit, Forever!
